Graduate in 2 to 3 Years with Transfer Credit

  • Complete flight training in 10–15 months

Earn Credit Toward Your Degree

Earn credit for your industry certifications and receive a tuition reduction on your remaining courses.

You could earn up to 45 credits toward your bachelor’s degree—that’s a total savings of $18,420 if you already possess the following certifications:

  • Private Pilot Certification
  • Instrument Rating
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Flight Instructor Certificate
  • Multiengine Rating

You may also receive a 20% tuition reduction on the remaining courses after transferring your certifications — that’s an additional savings of $10,017.

Already a captain or first officer with a part 121 or 135 operator and thinking about obtaining your degree? You can receive up to 80 transfer credits based on your flight training and certifications — saving you time and money.

Total savings of $18,420 includes cost of tuition for transferred credits and Resource Fee. Further savings of $10,017 also includes cost of tuition for transferred credits.

Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight: Students are required to submit a first-class medical clearance and proof of citizenship through a Purdue Global approved flight training partner prior to enrollment at Purdue Global. International (non-U.S. citizen) students who wish to enroll must complete a TSA clearance check and obtain an M-1 Visa through one of our U.S. flight training alliance schools that offers these services.

Certification Exams: Students are responsible for understanding the requirements of certification exams. The University cannot guarantee students will be eligible to sit for or pass exams. In some cases, work experience, additional coursework beyond the Purdue Global program, fieldwork, and/or background checks may be necessary to be eligible to take or to successfully pass the exams. You must pass additional exams offered by independent certification agencies to become certified in this field. For more information consult an Admissions Advisor.

Completion Time: This program is relatively new and thus historical data regarding time to completion are not available. Completion time estimates based on a full-time schedule: 3 years, 2 courses per term; 2 years, 3 courses per term; and transferring in 45 credits from 5 certifications. Programs will take longer for part-time students to complete.

Credit for Prior Learning: Purdue Global does not guarantee transferability of credit from any source. Testing option may not apply to all courses. Credit for work experience and military training does not apply to graduate programs. See the University Catalog for the Prior Learning policy.
